We know that a child’s first dental visit might be challenging therefore we are sharing with you some information you should know:
- Our specialist Pediatric dentist – Dr Marianna – will examine your child’s teeth and gums and she will discuss with you all the findings in details.
- She might have to take some x-rays to confirm the presence/absence of cavities or to check the presence of possibly missing teeth.
- The doctor will also explain all the treatment that might be needed.
- Our pediatric room is very spacious and equipped with toys and tv on the ceiling and has a very calm friendly environment to make your child feel at ease.
- If your child has never been to the dentist before teach them at home how to lie down and open their mouth nice and wide for the doctor to check the teeth. Also use modeling videos from online to help them understand how the doctor checks the teeth.
- Bring a comfort item with you to help your child relax. this could be a teddy, squeeze ball, earphones or whatever makes the child calm down!
- Remember to be consistent with the doctor’s recommended follow ups to familiarize the child with the dental environment.
- Make sure to allow enough time before your appointment for parking and for filling out all the required documents.
